Springtime is a good time to check your dog’s license to see if it is current or register your pup for the first time!
The dog license tag provides identification if your dog(s) were to be lost or stolen. It protects the public by preventing the spread of rabies from dogs to humans. They save the lives of lost dogs who end up in the animal shelters by reuniting them with their owners. New York State law states that all dogs 4 months old or older be registered and wear a current dog license.
You must renew your dog’s license every year with the Mayfield Town Clerk. Reminders are sent out in May and payment with update rabies certificate (if necessary) are due June 30.
First time registration form can be filled out and sent to the Town Clerks office with copy of rabies certificate and payment. See the link below for registration form.
Current fees for spayed and neutered dogs are $6.00. Dogs not fixed are $13.00
Thank you for taking care of our wonderful Mayfield puppies
